HOT YOGA GUIDELINES AND HELPFUL TIPS
YOU NEED A MAT, A TOWEL AND WATER (OPTIONAL). BRING ENOUGH WATER SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO LEAVE DURING CLASS. YOU ARE GIVEN AT LEAST 3 WATER BREAKS DURING CLASS. FOR YOUR BENEFIT TRY TO DRINK ONLY AT THIS TIME. TOO MUCH WATER CAN MAKE YOU SICK.
STAY ON YOUR MAT THE WHOLE CLASS AND KEEP MOVEMENT TO A BARE MINIMUM. THIS WILL MAKE YOUR PRACTICE AND OTHERS MORE MEDITATIVE AND EFFECTIVE.
LIE DOWN IF NECESSARY. IT’S NOT IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO EVERYTHING JUST STAY ON YOUR MAT. IF YOU REALLY ARE GOING TO BE SICK THEN DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO. IT’S ONLY A YOGA CLASS.
GIVE HONEST EFFORT, TRY IN THE RIGHT WAY AND BE RESPECTFUL OF YOUR TEACHER AND OTHERS.
NO PROPS! INCLUDING BLOCKS, STRAPS, SHOES, SOCKS, ETC. YOU ONLY NEED A TOWEL AND A MAT.
NO EXCUSES! I’M SORRY IF THIS OFFENDS ANYONE BUT IF YOU CAN’T FOLLOW THE RULES OF YOUR TEACHER AND THE STUDIO WE CAN’T HELP YOU AND YOU ARE NOT READY FOR THIS CLASS.
PLEASE BE ON TIME AND STAY THE WHOLE CLASS. THIS IS FOR YOUR BENEFIT AS WELL AS OTHERS. DON’T EXPECT TO GET IN AFTER THE FIRST BREATHING EXERCISE.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF IF YOU ARE ATTENDING A HOT YOGA CLASS.
